We had planned a major refit with Yacht Tech, a Nordhavn specialist. Yacht Tech provides full service, and they are also a major broker of used Nordies on the East Coast. We counted over a dozen boats in the marina, from an N40 up to an N86. Most of the boats were N47’s and N50’s. We had maintenance, repairs, and upgrades planned.

About the motor vessel Tropical Blend

The Tropical Blend is a Nordhavn 43 motor yacht. It's hull number one of the N43 model, built in 2004. We have extensively modified it to prepare for our long voyage. Background We purchased Tropical Blend (formerly Island Magic) in April of 2013. While the boat was in very good condition, it needed some modifications to be our full time cruising home. Flying Bridge Helm Chairs

We wanted to replace the original Todd helm chairs. Island Magic had the basic Todd ladderback seats with some very dirty and warn cushions. Rose hated them, 'nuff said. We spent a long time searching for some outdoor helm chairs that looked nice, would fit in the small space, and wouldn't place yet another hole in our budget.
